Rev. Lee Yates
Our pastor is a teacher, storyteller, writer, and friend. His sermons combine thoughtful study, self reflection, and biblical scholarship. His Bible studies call us into the scripture story, imagining the world of the text and pushing us to find its relevance in our world today.
Lee is a parent of 2 teenagers, and married to another minister. Family life keeps them busy with band and choir concerts, Church events, and homework. Between Church and serving as the "parent-taxi," Lee enjoys Kentucky Basketball, playing soccer, and geeking out over super-hero shows with his kids.
Outside of our congregation, Lee also serves as Managing Editor for InsideOut Camp Curriculum, writes freelance for various denominations, and does some consulting in areas of faith formation for other congregations. He also serves as a communication consultant for our UCC Conference.
