We are a small church located in Covina, California. Our membership is made up of the membership of two small congregations that merged a few years ago. One of our predecessor congregations was made up of Filipino-American folks and the other largely Anglo-American. In recent years we have sought to reach out to other ethnic communities that are represented by the families that live in our neighborhood. We are a wonderful mixture of cultures and backgrounds and we believe that experience enriches all of us. So, no matter who you are, whatever your heritage, you will find a warm welcome here! Southern California is truly a vast melting-pot of cultures and traditions and we seek to emulate that in our faith community.
We are an affiliate of the United Church of Christ (UCC). You can learn about our denomination and our presence in the nation and the world by visiting the United Church of Christ website. You will also find a page on this site that offers a fun look at how our denomination sees itself. Essentially, we are a mainline Protestant denomination that springs from a long line of denominational mergers over many years. The last merger that created the United Church of Christ occurred in 1957. The desire to join with others in being the church together is perhaps one of the characteristics that most defines us as a denomination and as a local church.
